Dear Hawthorne families and staff,

I am pleased to announce that Ms. Elizabeth Flavors has been appointed as the new principal at Hawthorne. Ms. Flavors will be succeeding Principal Sandra Scott, who is retiring.

Ms. Flavors was selected based on her leadership experience as the assistant principal at Hawthorne, and because of her deep commitment to Hawthorne students, staff and families.

I also want to thank Principal Scott for her leadership.
